The Dutch Equestrian Vocational Education, on the outskirts of the village of Deurne in the south of The Netherlands, is the institute for education and the centre of knowledge and research for equestrian sport and horse keeping in the Netherlands. NHB Deurne is not only a renowned educational centre , but it is also a modern horse business, - know as the Dutch equestrian Centre-offering its facilities and accommodation to all disciplines of the equestrian sport and for all activities in the horse business. The centre has 4 indoor arenas, an outdoor area with an arena, a driving arena, lungeing area and a cross country course. Furthermore there are a fully utilized farriery and stables for about 230 horses. The school educates riding instructors/managers, grooms, stable managers, veterinary assistants and farriers. In total NHB Deurne enrolls about 600 students. Since 2008 the school has a Performance Centre. This centre offers practical equestrian research for commercial and non-commercial organizations. Every year about 80.000 persons visit the school during one of the (inter)national equestrian events. NHB Deurne also offers tailor made English courses.
